广州绛州鼓乐团有限公司，选择以往的做鼓方式，七顾茅庐，请出了九旬艺人为本团制作中国鼓。精心选择太行山深山老林中的桑木、槐木、楸木，和地道的黄牛皮，制作工艺采用全手工的工艺精心制作而成，历经四次烤制，制作出了目前国内密度重的鼓。 鼓形圆润漂亮，音色纯正饱满，鼓槌有力结实，声响效果非常适合在室内的舞台上演出，其他的鼓不可以用扩音器，因为声音大而噪，而我们的鼓是鼓中的低音炮，用扩音器，效果如虎添翼。 可以说是中国密度、音质、低音穿透力强的鼓。
